Volunteer to Teach English to Day Laborers!
DC JwJ volunteers teach basic English to day laborers at the Home Depot parking lot on Rhode Island Ave, NE every Tuesday and Weds morning. These short classes help give day laborers the tools to enforce their rights to fair wages and safe work conditions. If you're interested in volunteering between 8:30 and 9:30am on Tuesday or Weds mornings, contact Jonathan Wiens at jwiens@dclabor.org
