Join the 18th CNIF Political Pilgrimage
Join me for the next political pilgrimage to Israel and all of its neighbors. Drive from Cairo to Beirut from May 17th to June 2nd and come back to Washington, D.C. for one of our public hearings on Capitol Hill.
This Political Pilgrimage, the 18th that the CNI Foundation has
organized, will take place in the middle of an attempt by the Obama
administration to re-start a peace process by mediation efforts instead
of direct negotiations between the Palestine Authority and the Israeli
government. The dozen people on the pilgrimage, which will be headed by
Ambassador David Newton
(Ret.) and accompanied by me, will talk with top officials and members
of the opposition in all six countries, Egypt, the Occupied Palestinian
Territories (both Gaza and the West Bank), Israel, Jordan, Syria, and
Lebanon.
This should be a fascinating time to be in the Middle East or as one
pilgrim put it recently, "a life-changing experience." The cost of the
17-day tour is $8,500
from Washington, D.C. and back. This includes all expenses except cell
phone calls and other communications with friends and family back home
(we will have Skype access for all pilgrims to talk with people in the
U.S.).
If you are interested in this pilgrimage, which is already half booked,
you must get in touch with us as quickly as possible and no later than March 12th.
If you would like to bring a second person, such as a family member or
a friend, and the two of you are willing to share a double room, the
cost for the second person is $6,000.
Please contact me at 202-863-2951 Ext. 310 or Ellen Hunt
at Ext. 304. My cellphone number is: 202-352-4701 and Ellen can also be reached at ellen@cnionline.org.
