Books not Bombs! Month of Youth/Student Action


Walk Out on Election Day!! From October 10 to November 7, the National Youth and Student Peace Coalition (NYSPC) is sponsoring a month of youth and student-led actions around the country demanding funding for Books Not Bombs. United for Peace and Justice has endorsed, and we urge UFPJ member groups to participate in these events. The month of action will highlight the ongoing and expanding antiwar organizing among students and youth. Grandmothers Gather Nov 17th to Say NO to Torture


While our grandchildren fight the "Global War on Terrorism", terrorists are being trained at the School of the Americas/Western Hemispheric Institute for Security Cooperation (SOA/WHINSEC) which is funded by American tax dollars. Grandmothers are organizing in cities across the nation in preparation for the annual mobilization to close the School of the Americas in Fort Benning, Georgia on November 17-19, 2006.
