Guatemala Accompaniment Project is seeking human rights observers to travel to Guatemala for six months to a year. Observers are matched with sponsoring communities that support the stay. Volunteers serve as a link to the international community, monitor the peace process, assist in community projects and provide a measure of security. Training provided. National Foundation for Alternative Medicine seeks donor research and medical research interns from May 15 - August 15, 15-20 hours a week. Seek out effective and complementary and alternative medical treatmetns not easily accessible or available. Kristin Famula, a recent college graduate who joined Anne Arundel Peace Action, is looking for a paid position or internship with an organization working for peace and justice.  She co-founded and led a SPAN chapter at Antioch College and prepared a research paper and presentation for her senior project on the topic, "The Construction of a Militarized Patriotism in the United States." The East Timor Action Network Washington office seeks a summer intern (full- or part-time) to help with the following: lobbying Congress, foundation research & other fundraising tasks; general outreach, organizing and advocacy work & administrative functions. Applicants should be able to begin work mid-to-late May. A successful candidate should have demonstrated commitment to human rights activism. CHOICES (Committee for High School Options and Information on Careers, Education and Self Improvement), a project of the Peace Center, is seeking veterans and peace activists to attend spring career day events in DC high schools to counter the presence of military recruiters there with accurate information on enlistment and civilian options for employment and college funding. Help us get out information about the new No Child Left Behind law requiring schools to give student addresses and phones to recruiters. We are also working with AFSC-DC on a new Students Not Soldiers campaign to de-fund JROTC in DC schools. For schedules and information, contact John Judge at 202-583-5347.

Documentary film on Iraq War. We are forming a group, so far including film students, thinkers and an
independent editor, to produce a short documentary film about reactions to war. The documentary will include anti-war and pro-war interviews, as well as historical analysis and a discussion of media coverage.
